Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP announces today the addition of two Of Counsel to its London team. Cason Moore, formerly with Vinson & Elkins in London, joins the Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Markets Practices, and Jessica Staples joins the Antitrust and Competition Law Practice from Slaughter and May.
Moore advises on a broad range of corporate transactional and advisory matters, with an emphasis on cross-border M&A transactions, representing both sponsors and public companies. He also advises both issuers and underwriters on capital markets transactions, particularly in high-yield issuances and debt restructurings. He earned his law degree in 2007 from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar and the recipient of the Andrew D. Fried Memorial Prize.
Staples advises clients across a broad range of sectors dealing with UK, EU and global competition authorities. Her experience includes advising on foreign investment, and the EU and UK merger control aspects of high-profile global transactions. She has also represented clients in behaviourial investigations and market studies, and in litigation before the European Courts. She received her LL.M. from the University of Cambridge in 2014.
