Gibson Dunn Expands Private Equity and M&A Offering in Asia With Leading Singapore Team

Gibson Dunn announced today that Nigel Gleeson, Jon Bowden, and Alice Boughton have joined the firm’s Singapore office as partners in the Private Equity and M&A Practice Groups. Their arrival strengthens what is already a deep private equity offering in Asia, enhancing the firm’s ability to deliver seamless, cross-border support to global financial sponsors.
The team brings extensive experience advising private equity firms, infrastructure and real-asset investors, sovereign-linked institutions, and corporates on significant transactions in the APAC region. Working closely with Gibson Dunn’s private equity and M&A teams in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S., they will advise clients from a range of sectors on complex investments and strategic transactions.

Nigel Gleeson: Nigel focuses on private equity and M&A transactions for financial sponsors, including private equity firms, pension and infrastructure funds, and sovereign-linked investors across sectors and the APAC region. He has extensive experience advising financial sponsors on their most complex infrastructure and real asset investments and previously led a Southeast Asia M&A practice.
Jon Bowden: Jon advises private equity firms, financial sponsors and corporates on a full spectrum of complex cross-border M&A and corporate transactions across Asia, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia, with his practice spanning a broad range of industries and sectors.
Alice Boughton: Alice has extensive experience advising private capital sponsors and corporates on high-value public and private M&A, joint ventures, reorganizations, and capital raisings. Her work covers a wide range of industries and jurisdictions, with strength in transactions involving sophisticated, multi-party structures.
