Partner Hillary Holmes was quoted in the Daily Journal Capital & Counsel newsletter’s “Y’all Street Takes on Wall Street” about the emergence of the Texas Stock Exchange. She noted that the Texas Stock Exchange is part of a growing movement to promote the state as being business friendly. “What is significant is that Texas is building out multiple pieces of the corporate ecosystem at the same time: a modern corporate-law framework, specialized business courts, a growing financial-services sector and now additional capital-markets infrastructure,” she said. 

“Those developments can reinforce one another,” Hillary added. “A company does not need to be headquartered in Texas or incorporated in Texas to list on a Texas-based exchange. But as more companies, executives, investors and financial institutions develop connections to Texas, having a national listing venue based here becomes increasingly relevant.”
