At its 2021 Middle East awards, IFLR presented Dubai partner Graham Lovett with its Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is in recognition for Graham’s contribution to the legal industry in the Middle East, with IFLR noting “he is one of the most widely known and respected figures in the UAE market, and his prominence in the region is reflected in his role as chairman of the DIFC Authority Legislative Committee.” The awards were presented on October 27, 2021.
Graham practices complex commercial arbitration and litigation, often with a cross-border element. He is Chairman of the DIFC Authority Legislative Committee, a Member of the Steering Committee for the ICC UAE, Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), former Member of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Arbitration Committee, and Member of the Advisory Board of the IBA Arab Regional Forum. He is co-editor of Summaries of UAE Courts’ Decisions on Arbitration (ICC). Graham regularly appears as an advocate before the DIFC Courts and sits as an arbitrator in both domestic and international arbitrations. He also has full rights of audience in the English Courts.
