The firm has recently expanded its global network of 21 offices, including new offices in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh and we are now looking for a talented Billing Assistant to join the London Finance team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the billing team.
The successful candidate will be a key part of the billing team looking after both the London and Brussels office. Candidates must have the ability to communicate persuasively and concisely and be able to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
The role will report to the London Finance Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the production of pre-bills for London, and other Gibson Dunn offices, where needed at the beginning of each month and upon request.
- Reviewing and editing pre-bills in response to partner requests.
- Ensuring accurate billing in a timely manner.
- Responding promptly to all billing related queries.
- Obtaining an understanding of the various matters that GDC work on to ensure prompt billing cycles.
- Preparing disbursement back-up documentation in-line with client requirements.
- Ensuring daily tasks are completed in a timely manner in accordance with relevant SRA and HMRC legislation.
- Monitoring group mailboxes ensuring prompt and accurate responses to both internal and external billing or financial queries.
- Taking ownership and following up on outstanding tasks/items as needed to ensure bills are sent and properly recorded.
- Ensuring relevant approval has been obtained for any special rates/agreed discounts.
- Production and accurate submission of invoices that are e-Billed.

Experience
- This position is open to entry level candidates; however, law firm, finance, or professional services experience is advantageous.
