Based in the Munich or Frankfurt office, the Accounting Assistant will be responsible for assisting the German Finance team with the day-to-day operation of the accounting and billing functions in the Munich and Frankfurt offices.

This role reports to the Accounts and Billing Manager (Germany), Head of Finance (EMEA) and Director of Administration (Germany)

Responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Payable:
    • Assist with the timely and accurate processing of invoices and expenses through Enterprise Emburse and CMS.
    • Assist with the preparation of expense and vendor payment runs
    • Resolving queries and issues with vendors relating to invoices.
  • Monitoring office petty cash and entry of petty cash items
  • Receivables: Posting of wired funds received on the office bank accounts
  • Assisting with the reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Administrative tasks: variety of administrative tasks such as vendor details verification, filing of documents and invoices.
  • Assist billing specialists with the billing process.
  • Other Ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently in a team environment, as well as part of the Accounts team.
  • Ability to solve problems, be innovative, proactive, organised and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise work.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing, and to deal professionally with people at all levels in the Firm and outside suppliers.

Experience

  • A minimum of one year accounting experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Preferably experience using CMS and Emburse Enterprise.
