Based in Los Angeles, the Accounts Receivable Assistant is responsible for providing outstanding service to the Firm’s partners, clients and others within the Firm; therefore, the candidate must be very flexible and highly committed to quality, customer service, teamwork and supporting Firm and department goals in a fast-paced environment.

This role reports to the Legal Finance Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Recording and posting incoming ACH, wire, check and lockbox transactions.
  • Coordinating with various departments to ensure correct application of client payments.
  • Maintaining comprehensive record of previous payments and uploading cash receipt backup into imaging system.
  • Researching and resolving payment application discrepancies.
  • Reconciling daily cash receipts to verify accurate log of transactions.
  • Generating and distributing internal reports for financial analysis.

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel
  • Excellent attention to detail and have the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ideal candidate should be flexible and should be able to prioritize in the face of shifting deadlines.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Experience

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Legal accounts receivable experience is a plus.
  • Candidate must have strong technology skills, including MS Office Suite, and an ability to leverage technology in work processes.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $45-55k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
