Based in our Los Angeles office, the Contracts Coordinator will be an integral part of the Client Value Department. The Contracts Coordinator will provide exemplary internal and external client customer service and support on behalf of the Department, while ensuring an adherence to firm and client policies. 

This role reports to the Contracts Supervisor.

Responsibilities include:

  • Tracking and maintaining the Firm’s client contracts repository, disbursement approval database, and internal tracking system.
  • Categorizing and documenting incoming project requests received through the department’s email inbox.
  • Reading client guidelines and coordinating the review of essential clauses, terms and conditions.
  • Communicating with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with contract standards and timely contract renewals.
  • Addressing potential gaps to facilitate the negotiation process.
  • Reviewing and reporting on compliance with terms where necessary and drafting responses to client guideline documents for internal review and approval.
  • Compiling and distributing internal monthly communications regarding client guidelines and agreements.
  • Improving processes, reporting mechanisms, and finding ways to cut costs for the Firm and our clients.
  • Fielding inquiries from internal stakeholders and providing corresponding documentation.
  • Assisting with department projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must have outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Candidate should be a forward thinker and should be ready and willing to contribute their ideas towards the improvement of department processes.
  • Candidate should be comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization including with C-Suite executives, Finance upper management and senior attorneys.
  • Must have a strong customer focus, be responsive, work well under pressure and continually strive for efficiency and excellence.
  • An ownership mentality is essential for success in this position.
  • Candidate must have the ability to balance multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Candidate must be able to adapt to change and remain flexible with current and future responsibilities.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Law firm or contract-related experience is preferred but not required.
  • One year of related work experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $60 – 70k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
