Senior Paralegal – Antitrust

Based in New York City, NY, the Senior Paralegal will be essential in supporting the Antitrust team, particularly with FTC filings, including HSR (Hart-Scott-Rodino) premerger submissions to the Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Justice.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct factual and legal research, compiling results in an organized manner.
- Prepare court filings, including proofreading, cite-checking, and compilation of declarations, exhibits & appendices, and tables of authorities.
- Perform electronic filing in various courts and agencies.
- Maintain case calendars.
- Coordinate information sharing across multinational competition filings.
- Manage/prepare communications and document transmission with outside counsel.
- Assist with complex discovery projects including, but not limited to, second requests, document review and production, deposition preparation and privilege logs.
- Perform computer database input and retrieval with an emphasis on proficiency with e-discovery platforms including, but not limited to, Relativity.
- Assist attorneys with preparation and submission of Hart Scott Rodino “HSR” premerger antitrust filings with the Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Justice.
- Track the status of filings and expected clearance dates.
- Provide necessary support during trial/hearing preparation.
- Draft forms, letters, and other legal documents.
Qualifications
- Effective time management skills, with the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and manage multiple projects while prioritizing assignments.
- Strong computer skills, including web-based research and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and various document management tools, including iManage.
- Ability to learn and use new software quickly.
- Strong proofreading skills.
- Familiarity with FTC and DOJ filing and practice procedures supporting the antitrust practice.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with members across multiple offices.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $120,000–$150,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
