Based in Washington D.C. or New York, the Staff Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the department in a variety of recruiting functions.  Key responsibilities include recruiting for Global Services positions Firm-wide and supporting staff recruiting on a Firm-wide basis.  In addition, will assist the department in carrying out various human resources programs and functions, and other responsibilities as assigned.

This role reports to the Manager, Staff Recruiting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruit various staff positions for multiple Global Services departments.
  • Develop effective partnerships with hiring managers to understand and successfully meet their recruiting needs.
  • Develop and maintain information regarding recruiting trends and market and present this information to hiring managers.
  • Coach the hiring managers on the hiring process and appropriate interviewing techniques/approaches.
  • Source candidates through job boards and other recruitment platforms.
  • Conduct initial phone pre-screenings with potential candidates.
  • Review and refer qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Track and maintain all recruiting activities and files.
  • Extend verbal and written offers of employment to successful candidates.
  • Administer the new hire orientations for the Global Services staff employees.
  • Responsible for administration and maintenance of applicant tracking system.
  • Research/identify contingent and retained search firms, and partner with Directors of Administration regarding fee agreements.
  • Leverage alternative sources to build a flow of candidates to lower dependence on agencies.
  • Administration and maintenance of the internal and external job postings.
  • Partner with Directors of Administration to establish, monitor, and administer a standard set of applicant testing criteria, and provide assistance with recruiting when needed.
  • Follow established GDC and department policies, procedures, objectives, attendance, and safety guidelines.
  • Practices high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles with a full understanding of recruiting practices.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interface with all levels of staff and management.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Three years’ experience in a Human Resources department preferred
  • At least three years’ experience in recruiting department of law firm or other professional services organization required
  • Experience with viRecruit, Greenhouse, SilkRoad or PeopleSoft 9.0 strongly desired.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $70,000 – $90,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
