Based in New York, the Transactional Paralegal Supervisor will oversee the U.S. corporate and real estate transactional paralegal teams, ensuring high-quality service and consistent support is provided to attorneys and partners across all offices.

This role reports directly to the Associate Director of Paralegal Services and works closely with other members of the Paralegal Services management team to ensure consistent supervision, training, and operational excellence across U.S. offices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and manage a growing team of corporate and real estate transactional paralegals across multiple U.S. offices.
  • Act as liaison between attorneys/partners and paralegals to ensure matters and projects are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Coordinate workflow and allocate staffing to ensure balanced workloads and timely completion of assignments.
  • Monitor billable hours, workload, and productivity of transactional paralegals to ensure compliance with firm expectations.
  • Review and approve time and attendance records for transactional paralegals.
  • Identify staffing needs for the transactional team and assist with recruitment and onboarding of new hires.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized procedures and best practices across corporate and real estate paralegal groups.
  • Guide paralegals in maintaining appropriate workloads and monitoring quality of work product.
  • Assist with the design, coordination, and delivery of training programs and department initiatives.
  • Conduct meetings with transactional paralegal teams to communicate updates, expectations, and provide professional development guidance.
  • Participate in mid-year and year-end performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the use of technology and legal innovation tools, including AI-assisted due diligence and transaction platforms, to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to support key practice initiatives and cross-office collaboration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with members across multiple offices in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to implement process improvements and manage change.
  • Good judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Comfortable with technology and process improvement; familiarity with AI-assisted diligence and transaction tools preferred.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 7+ years of corporate and/or real estate transactional paralegal experience in a major law firm.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management systems.
  • Familiarity with AI and closing management tools (e.g., Kira, Harvey, iManage Closing Folders) preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $180 –210k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
