Job Summary
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our growing Real Estate Finance practice in the London office. We are looking to hire an England & Wales qualified newly qualified (NQ) associate.
This role is aimed at candidates who qualified in March 2026 or are due to qualify in September 2026, who are looking to begin their associate career within a leading Real Estate Finance practice operating at the top of the market.
The Team
The Real Estate Finance team is led by Robert Carr and Mark Manson-Bahr, who joined earlier this year as part of the team’s continued growth.
The team advises on the full spectrum of real estate financing matters and, unusually for a top-tier US firm, acts equally for leading sponsors and lenders. Clients include Brookfield, Apollo, Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies, KKR, Oaktree, Kennedy Wilson, Canary Wharf Group, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Société Générale, RBC, and AXA. Operating at the top of the market, the team handles financings across all asset classes throughout Europe.
Gibson Dunn’s Real Estate Practice Group is widely considered one of the best in the world: it was named a 2024 Real Estate Group of the Year by Law360. The London team has advised on some of the most high-profile real estate financings in recent years, including:
- £1.2 billion financing of 100 Bishopsgate for Brookfield
- £610 million retail portfolio financing for Canary Wharf Group with Apollo
- €471 million financing of Irish PRS platform for Kennedy Wilson and AXA IM
- €675 million senior and mezzanine refinancing of the Hibernia portfolio in Ireland for Brookfield
