Faisal A. Al-Ashaikh

Associate Attorney

Faisal Al-Ashaikh is an associate in the Riyadh office of Gibson Dunn, where he is part of the firm’s Regulatory and Administrative Law Practice Group. He focuses on providing strategic advice to government entities on legislative frameworks, public policy development, administrative law, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Faisal held roles in Saudi Arabia's public sector at the Public Investment Fund, the Decision Support Center at the Royal Court, and the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. Throughout his experience, he provided counsel on administrative law and regulatory matters, and led legislative analysis and drafting projects across various sectors including corporate law, commercial transactions, investment, real estate, media, intellectual property, human rights, and healthcare.

Faisal earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of California, Davis in 2017, and graduated with distinction from King Saud University with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.).

Representative Experience*

  • Represented the Public Investment Fund, and the Decision Support Center in the Royal Court before the Bureau of Experts in various legislative projects .
  • Advised PIF on a number of matters related to PIF’s business Including agreements, governance, and commercial legal issues.
  • led legislative analysis and drafting projects across various sectors including corporate law, commercial transactions, investment, real estate, media, intellectual property, human rights, and healthcare.
  • Provided counsel on administrative law and regulatory matters.
  • Drafted and reviewed governing regulations for government entities, including internal administrative and financial regulations and policies.
  • Participated in the legal review and negotiations of multiple international treaties for KSA.
