Alex Chang

Associate Attorney

Alex Chang is a corporate associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and a member of the firm’s Investment Funds Practice Group.

His practice focuses on counseling sponsors on the formation and operation of private investment funds, co-investment vehicles and separately managed accounts across numerous sectors and strategies, including private equity, buyout, growth, venture, energy, real estate and credit. In addition, he has worked on a variety of corporate transactional matters, including secondary transactions, fund recapitalizations and restructurings.

He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2016 from Washington University School of Law, where he served as Associate Notes Editor on the Washington University Jurisprudence Review. He graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (Neurosciences Concentration).

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, he was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where he was a member of the Investment Management Group in New York.

He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
