Andrew W. Cheng is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he is a member of the Global Finance Practice Group. Since joining the firm in 2004, Mr. Cheng has focused primarily on representing borrowers, private equity sponsors and lenders in acquisition financings and other leveraged finance transactions, including syndicated senior secured credit agreements and Rule 144A high-yield offerings. Recognized for his ability to handle debt financing and associated securities offerings, Mr. Cheng was recently named as a leading Banking & Finance lawyer by Chambers USA in 2020.

Prior to joining Gibson, Dunn, Mr. Cheng practiced as a corporate associate with Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York City. Mr. Cheng received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude with distinction in 1997 from Amherst College.
