Louis-Guillaume Cousin is of counsel in the Paris office of Gibson Dunn and is a member of the firm’s Investment Funds Practice Group.
Louis-Guillaume's practice focuses on the formation of French and pan-European private investment funds focused on buyout, growth equity, infrastructure, real estate, credit and other investment strategies. In addition to fund formation, Louis-Guillaume also advises fund sponsors on secondary transactions and has experience advising on the acquisition and sale of minority and majority stakes in fund sponsors, as well as spin-outs of fund businesses and management teams. He also advises portfolio management companies on their operation, regulation and internal governance arrangements.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Louis-Guillaume was counsel in the Investment Funds practice of a Magic Circle law firm in Paris.
Admitted to the Paris bar, Louis-Guillaume holds a Master’s degree in Financial Law from Université Paris-Saclay (formerly Université Paris-Sud).
He speaks French and English fluently.
