Pierre Goyat is a partner in the Paris office of Gibson Dunn and a member of the firm's Tax Practice Group.

Pierre specialises in the tax aspects of M&A transactions and corporate reorganisations, with particular expertise in the energy, infrastructure and transportation sectors. He also has extensive experience in fund structuring and carried interest arrangements and regularly advises fund managers on personal tax planning. In addition, he assists clients with tax audits and tax litigation.

Chambers France ranks him as Up and Coming for Tax and clients note that he "is very knowledgeable about fund tax and real estate tax and this is something only a few people have on the Parisian market." The Legal 500 EMEA also ranks Pierre as a Next Generation Partner for Transactional/Corporate Tax.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Pierre practiced as a partner at a leading international law firm in Paris.

Admitted to the Paris Bar, Pierre graduated from HEC Paris (Grande École) in 2011, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University in 2012, where he received a Master's in Law, and Cornell University in 2012 with a J.D.

He speaks French and English fluently.
