BIOGRAPHY

Nate Hancock is a Registered Foreign Lawyer (Colorado) and an associate. He is a member of the Technology Transactions and Strategic Sourcing and Commercial Transactions practice groups.  Mr. Hancock has worked with a variety of domestic and international clients ranging from market leaders to start-ups in a wide range of industries, including software, food and hospitality, fashion, automotive, energy, and financial services.

Mr. Hancock’s experience includes drafting and negotiating complex domestic and international technology and commercial agreements, including in the areas of information technology and business process outsourcing, product development and procurement, product manufacturing and supply, software development and maintenance, and services. He also represents clients on legal and business issues relating to license agreements for patents, trademarks, software and other technologies, and evaluating complex intellectual property and technology issues that arise in general corporate transactions.

Mr. Hancock earned his law degree in 2016 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he graduated cum laude. During law school, he co-founded the Penn Law Public Speaking Society and represented nonprofit organizations through the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic.  Mr. Hancock also earned a Master of Laws in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law from the Faculty of Law – University of Hong Kong, where he graduated with distinction and was awarded the Asian Patent Attorneys Association Prize in Intellectual Property Law, conferred to the student who achieved the best overall performance in the degree.  He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2013, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies. Prior to returning to the firm, Mr. Hancock was an associate in the Technology Transactions group of Perkins Coie in Denver.

A member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Mr. Hancock is admitted to practice in Colorado and California.
