George Holman

Associate Attorney

George Holman is an England & Wales qualified associate in the London office of Gibson Dunn and is a member of the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions group.

George has extensive experience advising on complex, high-value cross-border M&A transactions for corporates, financial sponsors and sovereign entities. He has a particular focus on UK public takeovers, having acted for both bidders and targets on a number of the largest and most complex transactions under the UK Takeover Code in recent years.

George also advises on private M&A, joint ventures, and majority and minority investments, with significant experience in the Middle East. He completed a 16-month secondment to Alat, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, as Senior Legal Counsel, advising on strategic joint ventures and investments across the PIF ecosystem and giving him a valuable in-house perspective on the region.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, George worked in the London and Abu Dhabi offices of another major international law firm.

  • Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc on its £4.3 billion takeover by Marsh & McLennan
  • Alat on its strategic partnership with TK Elevator
  • The Coca-Cola Company on the disposal of a stake in its Egyptian bottling business to Coca-Cola HBC
