Kathryn A. Kelly is a partner in the New York office of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher and is a member of the firm’s Tax Practice Group. Ms. Kelly represents clients in a broad range of tax matters, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, restructurings, and financing transactions.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Kelly served as a law clerk to Judge William B. Traxler, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Ms. Kelly earned her Juris Doctor in 2010 from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Executive Editor of the Columbia Journal of Tax Law. In 2002, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Southwestern University, where she was a Presidential Scholar and Fleming Fellow. She graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors in Economics.
Ms. Kelly serves on the advisory board of the Columbia Journal of Tax Law.
Ms. Kelly is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
