Alec A. Nadeau is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group.

Alec received his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law where he was a Moelis Fellow in Urban Law and Public Affairs. While in law school, he interned with the New York City Housing Authority, the New York City Department of City Planning, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

Prior to law school, Alec worked as an advisor to the Executive Director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and as a research assistant in a Washington D.C. thinktank focused on cyber and critical infrastructure security policy. He graduated from George Washington University with a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, summa cum laude.

Alec is admitted to practice in the State of New York.

Virginia Somaweera (formerly Smith) is an associate in the Century City office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Ginny is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Class Actions, and Environmental Litigation and Mass Tort practice groups.

Representative matters include:

  • Ongoing representation of infant-formula manufacturer in class-action litigation relating to alleged consumer deception. 
  • Representation of Northrop Grumman in putative class action alleging groundwater contamination from trichloroethylene (TCE) in Missouri. Ginny argued two motions to dismiss before the trial court, which significantly narrowed the claims at issue. A favorable settlement was reached as to the remaining claims. 
  • Representation of The Boeing Company against claims primarily by property owners alleging damages stemming from the November 2018 Woolsey Fire in Southern California. Obtained dismissal of claims and entry of judgment in Boeing’s favor following demurrer.
  • Obtained summary judgment and an award of attorneys’ fees on a quiet title action establishing that a conservation easement protected 400 acres of undeveloped property in the Santa Monica Mountains as open space in perpetuity.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Ginny served as a law clerk to the Honorable James V. Selna of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Ginny earned her law degree in 2017 from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. She graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University School with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service in 2012.   

Before entering law school, Ginny taught middle school English language arts in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as a Teach For America corps member.

Ginny is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Andrew Becker is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Andrew earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the Editorial Board of the Virginia Journal of International Law and argued in front of the Virginia Parole Board as a member of the Decarceration and Community Reentry Clinic. He also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Mark A. Kearney, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Andrew received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude with a major in Political Science and a minor in Hispanic Studies. Before attending law school, he worked at a research consulting firm in Washington, D.C.

Andrew is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.

Laura Londoño Pardo is a litigation associate in the New York office of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Yale University in 2017 and her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 2021.

Prior to joining the firm, Laura served as a law clerk to the Honorable Eric L. Clay in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Honorable Edgardo Ramos in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. She is a 2017 Fulbright Scholarship grantee.

Laura is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the Southern District of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Karsten Ball is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Karsten graduated with high honors from the George Washington University Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif.  At GW Law, he was a member of the George Washington Law Review and was awarded Best Oralist in the 74th Annual Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition.  During law school, Karsten interned at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Dresden, Germany.

Karsten graduated summa cum laude from Columbia University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He also graduated cum laude from the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po Paris), where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Middle East studies. Before attending law school, Karsten managed international security and counterproliferation projects for a Washington, D.C.-area non-profit. 

Karsten speaks German and French and is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. 

Jerry Blake Blevins is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Blake earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, Blake served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Journal of Law & Public Policy and as a legal intern in the Constitutional and Specialized Tort Litigation Section of the U.S. Department of Justice. Blake was also a student attorney for the Georgetown Appellate Litigation Clinic, where he helped represent an individual before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and assisted in filing a brief as amici curiae supporting a petition for certiorari before the United States Supreme Court.

Blake received a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from the University of Kentucky in 2020, where he graduated magna cum laude.

He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.

Jabari Y. Julien is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.  He practices in the firm’s Securities Litigation, White Collar Defense and Investigations, and Labor and Employment Practice Groups.  Jabari represents individuals and major multinational corporations in complex civil litigation, as well as in criminal, regulatory, and internal investigations. 

Jabari also maintains an active pro bono practice.  He represented Mr. Jones in a historic civil rights victory over an LAPD officer in Deon Jones v. City of Los Angeles, in which a federal jury unanimously determined that the officer had violated Mr. Jones’ Fourth Amendment rights and awarded him $375,000 in compensatory and punitive damages.  Jabari has also represented clients in a variety of other pro bono matters, focusing on the areas of criminal justice and constitutional rights.

Jabari received his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, where he was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and served as an editor for the Columbia Law Review and as President of the Prison Healthcare Initiative.  While in law school, Jabari interned with the Honorable Beryl A. Howell of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and participated in New York State’s Pro Bono Scholars Program.  Jabari graduated magna cum laude from Howard University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

Jabari served as a law clerk to the Honorable Margo K. Brodie of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.  Jabari is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the State of California.

Nicholas E. Canelos is a litigation associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.

Nicholas served as a law clerk to the Honorable Anthony J. Scirica of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and to the Honorable Paul S. Diamond of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Nicholas graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif, and where he served as a Comments Editor on the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and as an Arthur J. Littleton Legal Writing Instructor. He received his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.

Eleonora Viotto is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She practices in the firm’s Litigation Department. She is currently on secondment.

Eleonora earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the George Washington University School of Law in 2024, where she served as a Notes Editor for The Federal Circuit Bar Journal and as a Legal Research and Writing Dean’s Fellow. As a law student, Eleonora served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Amy Berman Jackson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and as a legal intern with the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Fraud Division.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California, where she graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Political Science and Communication. Eleonora was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa in 2020.

Eleonora is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. She is a native speaker of English and Italian.

Hazel Granada is a litigation associate in the Palo Alto office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She handles a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters in federal and state court, including complex commercial and contract disputes and securities litigation matters. Hazel has experience litigating matters from inception through trial. Hazel also has experience conducting independent investigations, and responding to books and records demands and inquiries from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).  

Hazel also maintains a robust pro bono practice in the areas of immigration and civil rights. Hazel previously secured asylum for a client in proceedings before the Immigration Court and conducted the examination of a key witness in those proceedings.

She earned her law degree in 2020 from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where she served as co-chair of the Latinx Law Student Association, Dean’s Fellow, Community Fellow, and Research Fellow for the Lawyering Skills Program for first year students. Hazel competed in the Moot Court competition where she argued before a District Court Judge and was named among the Top 16 participants. She also argued a motion before the California Superior Court as part of the Consumer Law Clinic, securing a significant reduction in fees for an indigent client. While in law school, Hazel served as an extern with the criminal division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, where she appeared before various magistrate judges in criminal arraignments.

Hazel earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Southern California where she received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship.

She is a member of the California Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of California.

Andrew Webb is an Associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is member of the firm’s Labor and Employment and Litigation Practice Groups.

Andrew assists clients in a wide range of employment law matters, including discrimination, retaliation, non-compete and trade secrets, and wage and hour. Beyond litigation, Andrew also advises employers on navigating federal and state WARN requirements and complying with leave laws.

Andrew earned his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law in 2022, where he served as an associate editor on the Alaska Law Review. Andrew graduated summa cum laude in 2018 from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and English Literature.

Liesel Schapira is a senior litigation associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.

Liesel’s practice focuses on high-stakes white collar defense, securities-related investigations, and complex commercial litigation across all industries. Highlights include obtaining a rare pretrial dismissal of a federal indictment alleging that the founder of a pharmaceutical company tipped friends and family in advance of a $3.5 billion tender offer, and obtaining a complete victory as part of a trial team representing AMC Networks in a two-week breach of contract and profit participation bench trial concerning the television series The Walking Dead.

She has extensive experience representing individual and corporate clients in investigations conducted by the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and the New York Attorney General’s Office, including first- and second-chairing witness testimony before regulatory agencies.    

Liesel also represents pro bono clients with respect to gun safety litigation. She is a key team member in State of California, et al., v. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, et al., a lawsuit challenging the federal government’s regulation of untraceable “ghost guns,” which have wrought havoc in communities nationwide. Liesel has worked extensively with the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, which awarded Gibson Dunn the Richard D. Ogers Pro Bono Partner Award in 2021.

She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was a Hardy Cross Dillard Scholar and an editor of the Virginia Journal of Criminal Law. Liesel graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa at New York University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Prior to law school, she worked at J.P. Morgan.

Noah Delwiche is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. He practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Noah graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he served as a Notes Editor for the Harvard Law Review. He graduated cum laude in field with high honors in Philosophy and a citation in Latin from Harvard College, where he received the Thomas T. Hoopes prize for his senior thesis.

Noah is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.

Osman Nawaz is a litigation partner in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and a member of the firm’s Securities Enforcement and White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice Groups. He advises clients on internal and government investigations and enforcement actions, as well as follow-on civil litigation and regulatory and compliance-related issues.    

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Os concluded a 14-year career with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). During his time with the SEC, he worked in the agency’s New York Office, serving through multiple administrations and in roles ranging from staff attorney to Assistant Regional Director. Most recently, he was a Senior Officer in the agency’s Division of Enforcement and in national leadership where he led Enforcement’s Complex Financial Instruments Unit, a specialty group focused on complex products and trading involving sophisticated market participants’ structuring, sale, trading and valuation of derivatives, asset-backed securities, and other instruments. Os oversaw high-profile investigations and litigations and professional staff located in seven different offices including the agency’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. He was a frequent collaborator with other groups throughout the agency.  

Os’s government work provided him with a deep understanding of investigations, the markets, and complex trading and products. His work covered the entire breadth of the SEC’s subject matter and involved asset managers, broker-dealers, security-based swap dealers, credit rating agencies, issuers, and other market participants. During his time at the SEC, he was involved in numerous first-in-kind and landmark actions concerning valuation, market manipulation, regulatory issues such as net capital and Regulation SHO, internal controls, disclosure, fraud and other violations of the federal securities laws. Os also worked closely with the Department of Justice, FBI, CFTC, state and foreign regulators, and other authorities. He is a past recipient of the SEC Chair’s Award for Excellence and the Stanley Sporkin Award.

Before joining the SEC, he was an associate at an international law firm. Os received his J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law and his B.B.A. from Baylor University.

Caelin Moriarity Miltko is an associate in the Denver office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she currently practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Caelin earned her J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago Law School in 2021. While in law school, she served as a Managing Editor of The University of Chicago Law Review. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame, where she majored in English and Irish Language and Literature.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, she clerked for the Honorable Anthony D. Johnstone of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Nell Tooley is an associate in the Denver office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she currently practices in the firm’s Litigation Department. Prior to joining the firm, she clerked for the Honorable Richard L. Gabriel, of the Colorado Supreme Court.

Nell earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in 2023, where she graduated first in her class. While in law school, Nell served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Timothy Tymkovich of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, was a member of Colorado Law’s National Mock Trial Team, and served as a teaching fellow for torts and criminal law.

Nell earned her undergraduate degree in International Studies and Hispanic Studies, cum laude, from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. Prior to law school, Nell served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Costa Rica.

Nell is admitted to practice law in the State of Colorado.

Kevin Mills is a corporate associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where he is a member of the firm’s Capital Markets Practice Group.

Kevin earned his Juris Doctor in 2022 from New York University School of Law, where he served as a Development Editor for the Annual Survey of American Law. He earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan in 2019.

Mary Otoo is a litigation associate in the New York office of Gibson Dunn. She is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group.

Mary received her Juris Doctor in 2022 from Columbia Law School, where she served as Executive Editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems. She graduated with honors from the University of Chicago in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

Jack Reed is an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Jack clerked for Judge Jerry E. Smith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Judge Carl J. Nichols of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.  He received his law degree from Yale Law School and graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in history.  At Princeton, he was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Allison Roy Kawachi is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she currently practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Allison earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2022, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. At UCLA, she was a Michael T. Masin Scholar and served as a Senior Editor on the UCLA Law Review. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Public Relations.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Allison served as a law clerk to the Honorable R. Gary Klausner in the Central District of California.
