Marie Préat is a partner in the Paris office of Gibson Dunn and a member of the firm's Investment Funds Practice Group.

Marie advises sponsors and asset managers on the full spectrum of private funds matters, from primary fundraising and secondary transactions to regulatory compliance matters across private equity strategies. She is recognised for her expertise in complex and innovative fund structures, including evergreen and perpetual life products and has built a strong practice advising on retail-oriented products. Marie regularly assists French and European asset managers in structuring and launching their investment platforms, and advises on co-investment schemes and investor side work.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Marie practiced as a partner at a leading international law firm in Paris.

Admitted to the Paris Bar, she graduated from University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne with a Master 2 in banking, corporate, finance and securities law in 2009.

She speaks French, Spanish and English fluently.
