Arjun Rangarajan is a technology transactions associate in the Palo Alto office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He currently practices in the firm’s Corporate department, focusing on intellectual property and software licensing, IP-focused mergers and acquisitions, and other commercial transactions.
Mr. Rangarajan earned his J.D. in 2014 from the UCLA School of Law, where he served as Co-Chief Articles Editor on the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology. While in law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Patricia D. Benke of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District. Mr. Rangarajan received a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 2002, and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2003, where he was teaching and research assistant.
Before re-joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Rangarajan worked in-house for a large multinational company in Bangalore, India for a year, focusing on intellectual property licensing in Asia. Prior to law school, he worked as an engineer in the technology industry for over seven years.
Mr. Rangarajan is a member of the State Bar of California, registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and CIPP/US certified.
