Ashley Whittington

Ashley Whittington is a corporate associate in the Houston office of Gibson Dunn and a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity, Energy, and Oil and Gas Practice Groups.

She advises and represents private and public companies, financial advisors, special committees, as well as private equity clients and their portfolio companies and management teams in connection with various corporate transactions, including mergers, equity and asset acquisitions, recapitalizations, dispositions, joint ventures, and other strategic business combinations.

Ashley has been recognized by her peers via her inclusion in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ in Corporate Law (2026-2027) and Mergers and Acquisitions Law (2027).

Ashley received her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston in 2016, where she served as the Managing Editor for the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal, as well as her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Houston in 2018. She earned her B.A. in Business Administration, Finance, from The University of Texas in 2013.
