Our trial and appellate lawyers are recognized experts who cover a broad array of subject matter including white collar defense and investigations, intellectual property, securities, corporate governance, real estate and privacy law.  Other areas of focus include life sciences, law firm defense, labor and employment, healthcare, and appellate and constitutional law.

Our team also provides client services in every significant area of antitrust and trade regulation law, such as civil antitrust litigation (including class actions), international cartel investigations and criminal litigation.  We boast an IP department that represents some of the largest local technology companies, and has litigated — and tried — significant IP cases in courts throughout the United States as well as at the Federal Circuit and U.S. International Trade Commission.

The lawyers in our San Francisco transactional teams regularly represent Silicon Valley’s heaviest hitters in public and private matters, including make-or-break business deals.  Recent corporate matters include M&A, equity and debt offerings, cross-border transactions, securities regulation, corporate governance, executive compensation and global finance.

The San Francisco office has one of the largest real estate and land use groups of any U.S. law firm.  We are proud to work on some of the most sophisticated financings and land use deals in the world.  The San Francisco land use team has played a central role in several of the most significant development and redevelopment projects reshaping the United States, as well as the local landscape.

Gibson Dunn’s “client first” culture ensures that all of our lawyers remain involved with and available to our clients at all times.  This is the cornerstone of our global and local practice and has resulted in clients entrusting us with their most challenging and significant legal matters.
