Partner Sandy Bhogal spoke with Bloomberg Law (subscription required) about the status of United Nations tax treaty talks in 2026. Current proposals include ways to level the different kinds of access countries have to information used in tax disputes. Sandy said that mechanisms giving all sides the same starting point for dispute resolution would remove noncontroversial elements and save time.

“Taxpayers might not get perfect answers, but it’s going to reduce compliance costs, and it would certainly help with tax certainty,” Sandy said.
