2026 Unrivaled Honoree Collin Cox Discusses Background, Advice for Young Trial Lawyers With Bloomberg Law

Partner Collin Cox discussed recent trial successes and his background with Bloomberg Law [PDF] after being named one of the publication’s 2026 Unrivaled honorees. He said that he didn’t come from a family of lawyers but “came from a family of storytellers,” which led to a love of public speaking and a desire “to work in a job where I did that on a regular basis.”

Collin’s best advice for young trial lawyers? “Be authentic. Most trial lawyers start as mimics, copying things they’ve seen other lawyers do successfully. But every lawyer—every person—is blessed with individual strengths. Leaning into those, and making the ‘trial’ version of oneself close to the ‘real’ version of oneself, is critical.”
