At its annual Americas Women in Business Law Awards, Euromoney Legal Media Group named Los Angeles partner Theane Evangelis as the 2021 Litigation Lawyer of the Year and Los Angeles partner Ilissa Samplin as the 2021 Litigation Rising Star. The winners were announced on September 29, 2021.
Theane Evangelis serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s global Litigation Practice Group. She has served as lead counsel in a wide range of bet-the-company appellate, constitutional, class action, labor and employment, media and entertainment, and crisis management matters in trial and appellate courts across the country.
Ilissa Samplin’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, entertainment and technology disputes, and intellectual property litigation and counseling. She has represented corporate and individual clients in the media, entertainment, and technology industries in a wide range of litigation in both federal and state court, including breach of contract, unfair competition, copyright, trademark, and trade secret matters.
