Partner Andrew Hogan was interviewed by Structured Credit Investor (subscription required) on the defining features of the next decade of the fund finance market. He discussed building a practice that cuts across fund finance and structured finance and why that’s important in today’s market.

“Fund finance started as a very simple relationship product that banks offered funds,” Andrew said. “As the market has matured, more and more participants — investors, sponsors — all wanted to come into the space, and that has encouraged real creativity in structures: to see how insurance companies can get involved, to see how non-bank lenders can get involved. At each of those junction points, sponsors, lawyers, and banks needed to come together to create creative solutions for how we can better facilitate new market participants. Structured finance is a key tool that allows investors more used to investing in ABF structures to participate in extremely attractive opportunities.”
