Gibson Dunn Leads IMC Rare Earths IPO

Firm News  |  July 31, 2026

Gibson Dunn represented IMC Rare Earths Ltd. in its initial public offering and listing on NYSE American.

IMC is a mineral exploration and development company focused on the exploration, development, and long-term supply of rare earth elements. Its principal asset is the Itarantim Project, a large-scale ionic adsorption clay rare earth deposit located in Brazil that is rich in dysprosium and terbium—critical elements used in advanced technologies including artificial intelligence, robotics, electronics, and defense applications. IMC is building what it believes will be the largest rare earth elements resource outside China.

Roberts & Ryan, Inc. led the IPO as lead-left bookrunning manager and representative of the underwriters. The offering marked a historic milestone for Roberts & Ryan, America’s first Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned institutional broker-dealer, and is believed to be the first IPO led by a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned broker-dealer and the first U.S. IPO led-left by a diversity-designated investment bank. The relationship between IMC and Roberts & Ryan originated through an introduction by Gibson Dunn.

The Gibson Dunn capital markets team was led by partner Robert D. Giannattasio and included partner Eric Scarazzo and associates Kevin Mills, Nneka Chukwumah, and Alanah Herfi.
