Gibson Dunn Pro Bono Practice Among Top in Law.com 2026 Pro Bono Report
Accolades | July 14, 2026
Gibson Dunn’s pro bono practice is ranked near the top of Law.com’s 2026 Pro Bono Report, which ranks AmLaw 200 firms for their work performed by lawyers. We ranked #8 nationally and #9 internationally along with #6 in average pro bono hours (all up from last year)—and are the only AmLaw Top 10 Firm to have an AmLaw Top 10 pro bono practice.
Law.com’s pro bono rankings are based on a score that weighs equally the average number of pro bono hours per lawyer in 2025 and the percentage of lawyers who performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work in 2025.
The rankings reflect another record-setting year for the firm’s pro bono practice. In 2025, Gibson Dunn lawyers dedicated more than 240,000 hours to pro bono work—the highest total in firm history—with more than 2,000 lawyers participating firmwide.
“Gibson Dunn’s commitment to pro bono work is woven into the fabric of our firm. Every year, our lawyers devotes hundreds of thousands of hours to advancing justice, supporting underserved communities, and protecting fundamental freedoms—work that makes a meaningful difference while reflecting the values that define Gibson Dunn,” said partner and Pro Bono Chair Katie Marquart.
