Senior Manager, Network Security

Based in New York or Washington D.C., the Senior Manager, Network Security will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of network security strategies and operations across the organization. This role works in alignment with the Information Security team and the Infrastructure Operations team, and business stakeholders, and ensure that the organization’s network infrastructure remains resilient, secure, and compliant with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

This role reports to the Chief Information Officer.

Responsibilities include:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the infrastructure and operational security strategy aligned with organization and Information Security team requirements.

Incident Response & Threat Management:

  • Work with the InfoSec team to respond to network security incidents and assist with remediation efforts
  • Ensure infrastructure network security controls are robust and effective.

Architecture & Implementation:

  • Guide the secure design and implementation of network architectures, including segmentation, cloud connectivity, and remote access.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance operational network security.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Act as a subject matter expert, collaborating with IT, business leaders, and external partners to align initiatives with business objectives.
  • Communicate risks and strategies to executive leadership.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor and analyze operational network security trends, assess emerging threats, and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of principles of information security.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving innovation and delivering results.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT/network security, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong technical expertise in infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to, servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $240-275k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
