Partners John Pollack and George Sampas spoke to MergerMarket (subscription required) about the outlook for the industrial M&A market in 2026. John, Co-Chair of our Private Equity Practice Group, highlighted that private equity involvement in the aerospace and defense sector grew stronger as the market adjusted to the U.S. tariff policy, following a sweeping hike on these levies in April.

George, Co-Chair of our Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group and head of Cross-Border M&A, singled out drones as a hot area within the aerospace and defense sector for 2026. He and John pointed out that the aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul sector continues to be an attractive area for M&A.
