Karsten Ball is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Karsten graduated with high honors from the George Washington University Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. At GW Law, he was a member of the George Washington Law Review and was awarded Best Oralist in the 74th Annual Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition. During law school, Karsten interned at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Dresden, Germany.
Karsten graduated summa cum laude from Columbia University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He also graduated cum laude from the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po Paris), where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Middle East studies. Before attending law school, Karsten managed international security and counterproliferation projects for a Washington, D.C.-area non-profit.
Karsten speaks German and French and is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
