Michal Baum is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group.
Ms. Baum represents clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, construction and real estate finance, joint ventures, mezzanine loans, preferred equity investments, and loan workouts and restructuring. Her experience includes single and multi-property transactions with a wide variety of real estate assets, including office parks and buildings, hotels, shopping centers, condominiums and multi-family apartment complexes.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Ms. Baum was an associate at the Real Estate Department of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP. Prior to, and during, law school, she worked at a nationally recognized title agency where she closed single and multi-property commercial real estate transactions. She also worked for a real estate developer where she negotiated leases, license agreements and purchase and sale agreements
Ms. Baum earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2016 from Rutgers Law School, where she was elected to Order of the Coif, received the Philip Kravitz Memorial Prize (for graduating with the highest academic average as a part time student) and was a Saul Tischler Scholar and a Nathan N. Schildkraut Scholar. She was also an editor for the Rutgers Law Review and was on the Rutgers Moot Court Board and Rutgers Regional Appellate Advocacy Team where she competed in the New York Bar Association National Moot Court Competition.
Ms. Baum is admitted to practice in the State of New York and State of New Jersey.
