Jameil D. Brown

Associate Attorney

Jameil Brown is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Jameil received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. In law school, he served as an Executive Editor of the Virginia Law Review. Jameil also participated in the Federal Sentence Reduction Clinic, where he obtained a reduction from a life sentence for one of his clients in the Western District of Virginia. He received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, in public and international affairs from Princeton University, where he was also awarded the Gale F. Johnston Prize in Public Affairs.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Amit P. Mehta of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Between college and law school, Jameil was a software consultant at a large software company.

He is a member of the District of Columbia bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
