Jin Hee is a finance partner in the New York office of Gibson Dunn. She has extensive experience advising sponsors, borrowers, arrangers, agents and lenders, including private credit providers, on complex U.S. and international financing transactions.

Jin Hee's experience spans numerous sectors—including renewables and energy, biotech, fintech, manufacturing, telecommunications, media and financial services—and a wide range of financing structures, including acquisition financings, “hybrid” cash flow/revenue and project-style financings, unitranche and mezzanine financings, and royalty and other asset-based financings and asset monetization transactions.

Life Sciences

Jin Hee represents biotech and life sciences companies, together with the private credit funds and investors that finance them, on senior secured, royalty and other asset-based financings and asset monetization transactions. Her borrower-side clients include Alvotech, Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Cogent, US WorldMeds, XOMA and Zymeworks. Jin Hee’s lender clients in life sciences include private credit funds and investors such as Blue Owl, Braidwell Management Company, Perceptive Advisors, Royalty Pharma and RTW Investments.

Energy and Renewables

Jin Hee advises sponsors, developers, borrowers and lenders across the conventional power and renewables sectors, including in their corporate financings, development project-style financings and “hybrid” cash flow/revenue financing structures that bridge traditional cash flow and asset-based approaches. Her clients in this area include Pine Gate Renewables, Excelerate Energy, EQT Infrastructure, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Banco BTG Pactual and Berkshire Hathaway Energy.

Acquisition Financing

Jin Hee counsels financial sponsors and their portfolio companies on acquisition and leveraged financings. Her sponsor and borrower clients in this area include Veritas Capital, Elliott Investment Management, Suvretta Capital Management, L. Catterton, Oaktree Capital, Eurazeo North America and Aurora Capital.

Corporate and Treasury

Jin Hee represents corporate borrowers across the credit spectrum, from investment grade and crossover issuers to below-investment-grade and privately rated companies, on syndicated and bilateral credit facilities, revolving and term loan financings and other corporate debt transactions. Jin Hee also regularly provides assistance with treasury teams at her corporate clients. Her clients in this area include many of the borrowers named in the categories above, as well as Mondelēz, Intuit, Cognizant, Amazon, Accenture, GE Healthcare and Coupang.

Jin Hee received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was a member of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, graduated cum laude and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She received her B.A., with distinction in her major, from Yale University.
