Ceyda Knoebel is an English-Turkish qualified Solicitor-Advocate in the London office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution and International Arbitration Groups.
Ms. Knoebel has advised on a wide range of disputes involving public international law and general commercial matters in common and civil law jurisdictions. She has experience in both commercial and investment treaty arbitration proceedings under the UNCITRAL, ICSID, ICC, VIAC and LCIA Rules. She teaches international investment arbitration at King’s College, London. Ms. Knoebel has represented and advised clients across a broad spectrum of industries including energy, oil and gas, financial services, banking and construction.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Ms. Knoebel trained and practised in the London office of a magic circle law firm where she spent six months seconded to a major financial institution as well as in the Ankara office of a major US law firm.
Ms. Knoebel was also admitted to the Bar in Turkey in 2007 and in addition to her native Turkish, she speaks German.
