Laura C. Lashus is an associate in the Dallas office of Gibson Dunn. She is a member of the firm's Litigation Group and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) Litigation group.
Laura represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation and other high-stakes business disputes in federal and state courts. She has significant experience preparing complex cases for trial and representing clients through all phases of litigation. Her practice includes trade secret and restrictive covenant litigation, product liability, False Claims Act matters, ERISA litigation, and complex contract disputes. She also has extensive experience advising clients on litigation strategy, regulatory issues, and litigation risk.
Before joining Gibson Dunn, Laura served as a law clerk to the Honorable A. Joe Fish of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Laura earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law, where she served as an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review, participated in the Domestic Violence Law Clinic, and served as a judicial extern to Justice Jeffrey S. Boyd of the Supreme Court of Texas.
Laura earned her B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science and Homeland Security from Tulane University.
Laura is admitted to practice in Texas and before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas.
