Gillian Moore is an associate in Gibson Dunn’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, where she focuses on intellectual property and technology matters.
Gillian has litigated patent cases at every stage, from pre‑suit diligence through trial and appeal. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants across technologies including semiconductors, encryption and cybersecurity, medical devices, and DNA sequencing. Gillian also has experience handling trademark and trade secret disputes.
Gillian earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2022, where she served as Submissions Editor and Managing Editor of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology. Before law school, she worked as a clinical research coordinator in the Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, overseeing Phase I–III clinical trials. She holds a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from New York University (2019) and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Philosophy, with honors, from Colgate University (2014).
Before joining Gibson Dunn, Gillian practiced patent litigation at Desmarais LLP. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
