Mario Pacini is a senior associate in the Madrid office of Gibson Dunn and a member of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity practice groups.
Mario’s practice focuses on Mergers and Acquisitions, with a focus on private equity transactions. He represents private equity firms and multinational businesses across multiple sectors on both international and domestic transactions.Mario is ranked in TTR Data’s Rising Star Rankings 2025 as #1 for M&A in Spain by transaction value.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mario was a senior associate at another international law firm.
Representative Experience*:
- Advising Cinven on its €2.5 billion acquisition of Idealista, the Spanish real estate classifieds portal.
- AdvisingCPP Investments on the acquisition of a 24.99% stake in FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente Holding, S.A.U., the environmental services division of Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, S.A., a diversified conglomerated listed in Spain.
- Advising Cinven, KKR and Providence (as shareholders of MasMovil Ibercom) on the agreement with Orange to combine their telecommunications businesses in Spain by means of the incorporation of a 50-50 joint venture with a combined enterprise valuation of approximately €19.6 billion.
- Advising GoodLife Foods B.V. (a portfolio company of IK Partners), on the acquisition of Audens Group, the parent of a group of companies involved in the development, manufacturing, marketing and distribution of frozen and refrigerated ready-to-eat meals and snacks in Spain and Portugal.
- Advising KKR on its acquisition of IVI-RMA Global, a leading international reproductive medicine group.
- Advising Cinven, KKR and Providence in their consortium investment relating to a voluntary public takeover bid for the entire share capital of MasMovil Ibercom, for €4.7 billion.
