Graham M. Stinnett is an associate in Gibson Dunn's Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, class actions, and arbitration. He has represented clients in the technology, consumer finance, gig economy, and media and entertainment industries in high-stakes litigation, arbitration, and government investigations.
Recent representative matters include:
- Defended a consumer finance company against a large-scale mass-arbitration campaign involving thousands of claimants.
- Obtained an order compelling individual arbitration and striking class allegations in a putative class action seeking to annul tens of thousands of consumer loans.
- Secured a written prosecution declination after extensive advocacy for a technology company in a long-running government investigation.
- Secured a complete defense victory in an arbitration for a prominent media personality and leading talent agency, including an award of costs and arbitrator’s fees.
- Defending companies in the gig economy and logistics industries against worker-misclassification and PAGA claims.
- Representing a major technology company in putative consumer class actions challenging the marketing and performance of a consumer electronics product.
- Advising companies on arbitration agreement design and mass-arbitration strategy, including dispute-resolution procedures, provider selection, fee structures, and protocols for managing high-volume claims.
Graham has written and presented on developments affecting technology companies and class action defendants. He contributed to Gibson Dunn’s U.S. Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Review and Outlook – 2024 and has presented on emerging developments and defense strategies in mass arbitration.
Graham maintains an active pro bono practice focused on immigration, adoption, disability rights, and criminal justice, including obtaining compassionate release and a sentence reduction for a federal prisoner to reunify him with his family abroad after 20-plus years of incarceration.
Graham graduated from Duke University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Public Interest and Public Service Law. While in law school, he worked as a student attorney in the Duke Law Civil Justice Clinic and interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Graham earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from the University of Southern California, where he was a Trustee Scholar.
He is admitted to practice law in the State of California and before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
