Sue Su is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of the Business Restructuring and Reorganization practice group. Her practice focuses on corporate restructurings in chapter 11 cases and out-of-court transactions. She has played a role in teams advising:*
- Digital Currency Group, Inc. in connection with the chapter 11 cases of its wholly-owned indirect subsidiary Genesis Global Capital, LLC and certain affiliates with approximately $3.4 billion in debt; as well as the BVI Liquidation Proceeding and chapter 15 case of Three Arrows Capital, Ltd. with approximately $3.5 billion in debt.
- The Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in connection with the chapter 11 cases of Cineworld Group PLC with approximately $5.35 billion in total funded debt obligations.
- Sunlight Financial Holdings Inc. and its debtor affiliates in connection with its prepackaged chapter 11 cases and acquisition by a consortium of established investors in the solar financing industry and its senior secured lender.
- Arcade Beauty in connection with its out-of-court recapitalization that received support from 100% of its lenders and shareholders, extinguished a substantial amount of debt, and provided the company with a new capital infusion.
- AIG and Prudential as secured noteholders in connection with the prepackaged chapter 11 cases of Nautical Solutions, LLC.
Ms. Su received her Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, where she was a James Kent Scholar, Managing Director of A Jailhouse Lawyer’s Manual, and Executive Director of the Moot Court Programs. Ms. Su graduated from the College of William and Mary summa cum laude with Bachelor degrees in Government and Philosophy, as well as New York University with a Master of Laws degree.
Ms. Su is admitted to practice before the Southern District Court of New York as well as New York state courts.
