BIOGRAPHY

Friedrich Wagner is an associate in the Munich office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.

Mr. Wagner focuses his practice on German and international commercial arbitration and complex litigation matters.

Handelsblatt / Best Lawyers™ in Germany 2022/2023 have recognized Mr. Wagner in their list “Ones to Watch” for Litigation.

Mr. Wagner studied law at the University of Passau, where he passed his first state examination in 2011. Subsequently, he worked as a research assistant for Professor Kuhn at the Institute for the Didactics of Law at the University of Passau, where he obtained his doctor’s degree in 2015. During his legal clerkship he worked for an international law firm in San Francisco. He passed his second state examination at the Higher Regional Court, Munich in 2016. Mr. Wagner has been admitted as a German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) since 2017.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Wagner was an associate in the Litigation Department of a renowned U.S. law firm in Munich.

In addition to his native German, he speaks English and French.
