Maggie Zhang

Associate Attorney

Maggie (Jieyu) Zhang is an associate in the Orange County office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She practices in the firm’s Corporate Department and focuses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters. Maggie represents both public and private acquirors and targets in connection with mergers, acquisitions and takeovers, both negotiated and contested. She also advises clients in connection with corporate governance and compliance matters (including Section 16 and Schedule 13G/D reports), shareholder activism, takeover preparedness and other corporate matters.

She earned her law degree in 2020 from UC Berkeley School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif.  She served as a full-time extern for the Honorable Andrew J. Guilford of the Central District of California while in law school.

Maggie is native in Mandarin Chinese and Shanghainese. Prior to attending Berkeley Law, she worked as a corporate attorney at a national law firm in Shanghai, China for two years. She earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from Fudan University and is qualified to practice law in the People’s Republic of China.

She is admitted to practice law in the State of California.
