Partner Robert Spano, former president of the European Court of Human Rights, was a guest on the BBC World Service Newshour radio program. The conversation took place on the 75th anniversary of the European Convention on Human Rights, created to prevent the types of atrocities seen during World War II. Robert discussed the “profound impact” the Convention has had on the European political landscape.
“The big impact of the Convention has been to allow for voices in society which are vulnerable – minorities, discriminatory animus towards those that do not have political support – those voices have been heard,” he said.
