Senior of counsel Ronald Kirk was a guest on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” and discussed the ongoing trade war between the U.S. and Canada, including reports that the White House is considering higher tariffs and other trade actions against Canada, and whether a path to de-escalation is possible.

He noted that “small businesses really bear the brunt of the pain from this, and while we can argue that the big manufacturers can ride this out until we come to a more reasonable position, this can be the death knell for many of the small business on both sides of the border.”
