Gibson Dunn LGBTQ Women’s Initiative

The LGBTQ Women Affinity Group is dedicated to connecting the firm’s LGBTQ women globally, recruiting LGBTQ women to the firm and supporting external causes of importance to the group. Led by partners Abbey Hudson and Beth Ising and associates Kelly Herbert and Praatika Prasad, along with other LGBTQ women associates, the group has hosted numerous internal in-person gatherings and an annual external gathering that connects LGBTQ women lawyers in the Los Angeles area. We have hosted LGBTQ women-focused recruiting events at law schools and formulated an LGBTQ women recruiting plan to attract more LGBTQ women to the firm. Our LGBTQ women recruiting efforts range from sponsoring events on campus to personally taking out LGBTQ women lawyers to lunch or dinner to help support them in their career journey. The group is also a proud sponsor of The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s Evening with Women annual dinner and Out Leadership’s Out Women’s efforts.
