The Daily Journal named Gibson Dunn’s Appellate and Constitutional Law Practice Group one of its 2011 Top Five Practice Groups in California, which featured “lawyers from five practice areas who are responding to an emerging issue or problem with innovative ideas.” The publication recognized the group for its work on “marquee” high-profile cases, specifically “wins in the big Wal-Mart Stores Inc. class action and the attack on Proposition 8,” along with the “massive ongoing litigation for Chevron Corp. in Ecuador and the U.S.” The profile of the firm’s appellate practice, “Practice Group Performs in Spotlight and Under Pressure,” appeared in the March 14, 2012 issue of the Daily Journal.
