The bar date for the filing general non-customer creditor claims in the Lehman Brothers, Inc. SIPA proceeding is June 1st, 2009. No claim of any kind will be allowed in the LBI SIPA proceeding, unless it is received by the Trustee, through its claims agent Epiq Bankruptcy Solutions, LLC, on or before June 1, 2009.
The bar date for customer claims was January 30, 2009, and the Trustee is now in the process of reviewing and reconciling such claims. Given the high volume of claims received, there is no current estimate of when the claim determinations will be complete, or what the total dollar amount of customer or other claims may be. The Trustee has estimated that producing determination letters for all customer claims received will take several months.
